The Fashion Holiday Gift Ideas For Everyone On Your List
The holidays are a fun time for everyone, but they can get a little stressful. Spending tons of time with family can be super overwhelming, not to mention the prying questions someone will inevitably ask you at those family parties. There’s also all of the food which, while delicious, is not beneficial for your waistline.
But even though those things can be super stressful, nothing compares to the stress of getting your loved ones the perfect gift.
Many of you have probably gone the traditional route and asked your mom, brother, dad, boyfriend, sister, best friend or whoever else what they want for the holidays. If your friends and family are anything like mine, though, you were probably met with a bunch of “I don’t knows” or “I don’t need anythings” or the dreaded, “you know what I likes.”
It’s like our loved ones want to torture us and make our holiday shopping 10 times more difficult than it needs to be.
But don’t panic just yet!
Whenever I’m in a holiday present bind, my go-to is a fashion inspired present for anyone on my list.
This might come as a surprise to you after you’ve spent countless holidays as a child dreading opening a present full of new clothes.
Now that we’re a little older though, I don’t know many people that would complain about getting a beautiful new purse, or a plush cashmere sweater. So, if you’re still looking for the perfect gifts for your family, friends or significant others, here’s the fashion-inspired holiday shopping list you didn’t even know you were looking for!
For your Mom …
Moms do just about everything for us and they would probably buy anything in the world for us if they could, which means you kind of have to pull out all of the stops for this Christmas gift. This isn’t the time to be unnecessarily cheap or lame with your gift.
Our moms deserve the best, so my go-to Mom gift is either a nice bracelet or tote.
A bracelet is nice because even if your mom isn’t big on jewelry, you can find her a small, understated one that she can wear every day, like this one from Banana Republic. Or if she is super into jewelry, feel free to get her a bracelet that’s a bit more glam.
A tote, on the other hand, is a super practical gift for any mom. Most moms have busy lifestyles and are running around from place to place all day long. Make her life a little easier by investing in a well-made tote, like this one from Zara.
For your Dad …
Dads do just as much for us as our moms, but shopping for them can be a little bit tougher. I think going for accessories is the smart route for fashion inspired Dad gifts.
That being said, a watch is a great gift for your father. However, we all know how pricey a well-made watch can get. This watch from Fossil is good quality and fairly priced.
If a watch just isn’t in your budget, though, this phone case turned wallet will be perfect for your dad. Dads are all about low-maintenance, easy accessories and what is more low-maintenance and easy than a phone case that also functions as a wallet? Your dad will be more than happy with this gift!
For your best friend …
This is a fun one, and also an easy person to shop for. You know your best friend like the back of your hand, and sometimes she even has the same exact taste as you, which makes your holiday shopping a little easier.
My go-to bestie holiday present is a statement handbag or clutch, like this one from Aldo. It’s bright and fun just like your best friend, and huge bonus: she might let you borrow it from time to time!
For your boyfriend …
You can also have some fun with a gift for your boyfriend. One idea is to get him some crazy, fun socks, like these ones from stance.com. He’s going to have his whole life to wear boring, plain dress socks, so give him the chance to live it up now.
Another idea is cuff links. Your man will be looking dapper and handsome in a suit as it is, but seeing the cuff links on that suit will make him even more swoon-worthy. These ones from Thomas Pink are manly but still fun.
For your Secret Santa grab bag exchange …
Secret Santa exchanges can be really hard because you don’t necessarily know who you’re shopping for. You don’t have much of a chance to make things personalized. In this situation, the best idea is to go for an androgynous gift that anyone would love.
An easy idea is to get them a candle set or lotion set. No one can complain about a nice set of candles or soft, moist skin in the winter months.
So don’t stress about the holidays too much! This fashion inspired holiday gift guide will help you with all of your shopping needs this holiday season.
