Having lost her idyllic future she finds a job in the morgue and eats the brains of murder victims, the visions from which enable her to help solve their murders. A female lead in a zombie story is refreshing and Liv Moore is a heroine you want to root for. 2. Once Upon A Time, the fantasy series by the creators of Lost, is currently in its 5th season. The series puts a twist on all of the fairy tales you grew up with. It has a large cast including numerous strong female characters, such as Snow White, Regina- The Evil Queen, and joining the current season Brave’s Merida, just to name a few. Heading the cast is Jennifer Morrison, who portrays Emma Swan, a bail-bonds-woman whose past catches up with her when the son she gave up as a baby knocks on her door. A human lie detector who fights villains, and drives a yellow VW bug while she finds a way to become a part of a family, Emma Swan is a phenomenal heroine. Once Upon A Time airs Sundays on ABC at 8/7c.
